Miguel Jimenez, MD

Doctor Miguel Jimenez leads his diligently trained team to abide and supersede all medical standards. A fellowship trained and National Board-Certified Member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Doctor Jimenez is sought out for his number of skills including minimally invasive surgery, deformity surgery, and spinal injections (epidurals, RFA, MMB, and discograms). He has spent over a decade implementing spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulators as well as developing a one-hour Lumbar Fusion Surgery.

Dr. Jimenez graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 1989. During his years in school, Dr. Jimenez won several awards: The Samuel & Lewis Award in Biochemistry & The Merck Index Award in Biochemistry. He also graduated with Honors and Cum Laude at the City College of New York for his undergraduate degree. While Dr. Jimenez studied for his medical doctorate, he maintained a dean scholarship from 1989 – 1993. He continued his education, receiving a Medical Doctorate in 1993 at the University of Rochester’s School of Medicine. Dr. Jimenez pursued a residency in 1994 at Cornell University Medical College. In 1995, Dr. Jimenez won two Outstanding Research Paper Awards: One from the North American Spine Society and the second from the Cervical Spine Society. In the same year, he also won the Best Resident Fellow Award from The Cervical Spine Society.

Soon after he completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in 1996, he was employed by the Mayo Clinic Health System in Minnesota.  Miguel returned to New York a year later, pursuing an Orthopedic Spine fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery.  After completing his schooling, Dr. Jimenez moved to Milwaukee, MN where he conducted surgical operations at Advanced Healthcare from 2002-2003.

Since 2003, Dr. Jimenez has relocated to Georgia. He began his works in Austell, GA at Georgia Spine and Brain LLC as an orthopedic spine surgeon. He continued with this practice until 2006. In 2006, Dr. Jimenez became the founder and lead surgeon of Georgia Spine Specialists, LLC where he continued to practice for 6 years. Dr. Jimenez later moved to Winder, GA in 2021 to open North Regional Spine, Inc. Within those years, Dr. Jimenez also practiced at Orthopedic and Spine Specialists of GA in Norcross. In 2019, Dr. Jimenez established Orthopedic and Spine Associates, P.C. in Norcross, GA. Doctor Jimenez continues to educate himself in the most up to date technological and medical advances within his field to better serve his patients.
